Happy New Year

We're still here but not for much longer! We are heading back to America at the beginning of April.  Christopher is currently transitioning into his new role as well as helping to fill the one he's leaving here in England.  We are excited about coming home to be nearer to family and friends but there are many aspects of our life in England we will miss.  For one, it is snowing like crazy outside and the school has said under no circumstances will it close due to weather.  There was a note on the door yesterday telling parents to make sure the children had their waterproof clothing as they would be playing outside as usual.  Oh and and it's Victorian Day. Kate went in her apron that my Grandmother made (thank you, Mom, for sending it) her cloth cap and Wellies which I don't think are Victorian but necessary in the snow.

So we are making our list of things to do before we depart and hoping to get a few more visitors before we leave!

Harry and I were on our way home from school.  Kate was sledging with a friend.

Summer has come and gone and we are back in school.  Kate started Year 2 last week and Harry started his Reception year this week.  They are at the same school but last week the Reception teachers visited all their students at home thus they start a week later than the rest of the school.  The first 2 weeks Harry will go for  half days and then he will start full time after that.  He seemed to like it and his only complaint is that it was much further than his old school which was just up the street.

Jean and Harry left last Friday after spending 2 weeks here.  We had a such a nice, relaxing time.  Christopher and I got a way for a night a in London where we ate well and saw a show.  We Will Rock You is great.  Loved it.

I am going to post some pictures of our fun times this summer including our visit with cousin Mimi in July.  It seems like ages ago.

Mimi was a little jetlagged.

She brought instand pudding all the way from the Gloucester Wal Mart.
