December 15th we descended upon Mom and Dad's house and made ourselves at home for a busy, fun, chaotic, wonderful 2 weeks. The children were jet lagged for a solid week but still ecstatic to be with their GA cousins and spent just about everyday with them. Mom took Kate and Harry to eat lunch with John, Anna and Elizabeth at West Side Elementary. Katharine, Mom, Susan and I took the girls to see Sound of Music at the The Strand on the Square, which was wonderful. There was lots of shopping of course and plenty of eating. Joseph celebrated his first birthday with a family dinner. Although Christopher spent most of his holiday either on the phone with work or fighting off a nasty cold that went through the entire family, he did get to go with us to the GA aquarium which was certainly a treat. After Christmas Jean, Harry, Andy and Sherry came and stayed for 2 nights as well as Aunt Judy and Uncle Hubert. I dreaded the day we had to leave and was so distraught that I left an entire suitcase behind. What would have flown for free has now cost us about $300 to ship over here. Oh well. If that's the worst thing that happens so be it. We don't have anyone scheduled to come and visit until the end of March, but I'm already counting down the days!
